Pre-Task Assessment
Why Perform a JHA Prior to Switching?
Ensure applicable permits are in place.
Review and discuss work permit, Isolation Checklist, Switching Order, and SLD with Tacora team and service provider.
Complete Take 5.
Do the walkdown with teams involved — familiarize with job scope and site.
Verify equipment used for switching is functionally tested; check for damage.
Ensure properly rated Arc Flash PPE and approved/calibrated High Voltage PPE are worn.
