I've made hundreds of presentations in my life. School projects, university defenses, startup pitches, client reports. And every single time, the same thing happened: I'd spend 80% of my time fighting the tool and 20% thinking about what I actually wanted to say.
Drag this image here. Nudge that text three pixels to the left. Pick a template that 10,000 other people already used. Try to make a chart that doesn't look like it came from 2005. By the time the deck was "done," I'd forgotten what point I was trying to make.
So I built something different.
The Problem I Kept Running Into
Every presentation tool I've ever used was built around the same idea: here's a blank canvas, here are some shapes, go arrange them. Some tools added templates to speed things up, but that just meant your deck looked like everyone else's deck.
The real problem was deeper than aesthetics. These tools made me spend my time on mechanics — alignment, spacing, font sizes, color matching — instead of on the substance of what I was presenting. The medium was eating the message.
And here's the thing that bothered me most: people stopped making presentations unless they absolutely had to. A deadline from a boss. A mandatory school assignment. A pitch to investors who would say no without slides. Nobody made presentations because they wanted to — because the process was too painful.
That felt deeply wrong. A presentation is one of the most powerful formats for communicating ideas. It's visual, it's structured, it tells a story. It shouldn't be something people dread making.
The Mission: Meaning Over Mechanics
My mission with Bobr is simple. I want three things:
I want you to make presentations even when nobody is forcing you to
Not because you have a deadline, not because your boss asked — but because you have an idea worth sharing, and the tool makes it effortless to do so. When making a deck takes 30 seconds instead of 3 hours, you'll reach for it the way you reach for a notebook. Naturally.
I want every presentation you make to look uniquely yours
Not a copy of a template your competitor used last week. When you open Bobr and describe your topic, the AI generates original layouts, color palettes, and typography from scratch. No template library. No "pick a theme." Just your content, designed specifically for your story. Every deck different from the last.
I want you to focus on what matters
On the argument you're building. On the data that supports it. On the narrative arc that will make your audience care. Not on drag-and-drop. Not on pixel-nudging. Not on formatting. That's why Bobr researches the web for real data, generates charts from live sources, finds relevant images, and writes slide copy — all from a single prompt. You describe the meaning. Bobr handles the rest.
What We Believe
These are the principles that guide every product decision we make. They're not corporate values on a wall — they're the filter we run every feature through.
Meaning over mechanics
You should spend your time on what you want to say, not on how to align a text box. We automate the mechanics so you can focus on the story.
Every deck is unique
We don't use templates. Every presentation gets its own layout, palette, and typography — generated from scratch for your specific content.
Speed without shortcuts
A finished, researched deck in under a minute — not because we cut corners, but because AI handles the research, writing, and design simultaneously.
Presentations for everyone
You shouldn't need a designer, a copywriter, and three hours to make a good deck. We built Bobr so anyone can present their ideas beautifully.
We're a small team, and we're building this because we genuinely believe that presentations are one of the most powerful ways to communicate ideas. They shouldn't be painful to make. They should be a joy.
The Team
Bobr is built by Lamp AI, Inc., a small company obsessed with making presentations effortless. Right now the team is just me — writing all the code, designing the product, and talking to users every day. But I'm looking for people who care about great presentations just as much.
