Areas for Optimization & Improvement
Proactive Expansion Strategy
Urban expansion numbers are strong, but exclusive focus must be actively driven by State teams. RSA expansion (14 in FY 26 vs. 5 in FY 25) currently relies on consequential opportunities — not a proactive, targeted approach.
Protecting Throughput (TPO)
'Other Roads' now constitutes 27% of total LOI issuances (265 LOIs in FY 26), causing sharp dilution in overall Throughput Per Outlet (TPO). Future growth must balance volume with high-yielding locations.
IRR Threshold Challenges
Sharp increase in low-IRR sites. 53 sites (~11% of unique evaluated sites) failed to meet IRR threshold in FY 26, vs. only 5 sites in FY 25. Rigorous rework underway.

Strategic Outlook & Support Required
WAY FORWARD
Meaningful Collaborations
Transition from transactional interactions to strategic, meaningful collaborations with State teams — especially given recent travel restrictions and ongoing uncertainties.
WAY FORWARD
Empowering State Teams
Urban Expansion drive must be heavily prioritized and driven from the State level to ensure deeper regional penetration and ownership.
SUGGESTED
Quality over Quantity
Implement stricter initial screening for 'Other Roads' to protect overall TPO and reduce time spent evaluating low-IRR sites.
SUPPORT REQUIRED
UPE & UPW Supply Challenges
Both states significantly affected by supply challenges from existing & future hospitality locations. Strategic interventions required to enable financial viability for sites below IRR threshold.
