Existing Challenges

Over the past quarter, Demandeals has experienced a significant surge in traffic on the website, leading to increased orders. The OrderPanel was built to punch offline orders; while it worked for low volumes initially, it was very basic. Now, with many orders on Demandeals, the operations team finds it difficult and time-consuming to punch orders manually.

The Challenge: Legacy Limitations

The original OrderAdmin panel was built as a basic solution for low-volume scenarios.

It functioned primarily to punch offline orders manually.

Operations teams found the interface increasingly difficult and time-consuming as volume scaled.

As orders increased on DemandEals, the Operations team found it incredibly difficult and time-consuming to manually punch orders.

Operational Assessment

Completed: Past 3 Months

We initiated a major overhaul of the offline order system. The legacy basic code was stabilized to handle the influx from DemandEals. We focused on reducing the latency per click and improving the data entry workflow to support the Ops team's daily workload.

Key Deliverables Achieved

Rebuilt the core OrderAdmin interface for better reliability.

Implemented offline order punching capabilities that sync when connected.

Streamlined the order validation process to reduce punch-time errors.

The Road Ahead: Next 3 Months

Building on the foundation laid in the last quarter, we are shifting focus from stabilization to automation. The objective is to drastically reduce the human effort required to process orders.

Upcoming Feature Roadmap

Bulk Order Processing: Allow Op teams to upload CSVs for mass order punching.

Advanced Filters & Search: Reduce time spent locating specific order IDs.

Automated Validation Rules: Prevent incorrect data entry before it happens.

Long-Term Vision

Our end goal is an automated ecosystem where 'punching' orders becomes obsolete, replaced by seamless API integrations, allowing the Operations team to focus on exception handling rather than data entry.
