Activity 01: Organic Farming & Connectivity
Location: Shirpewadi | Date: Nov 27, 2025

The first activity focused on the vital role of organic farming in ensuring food security and soil health. Students interacted with agricultural workers to understand the challenges of chemical fertilizers and the benefits of natural inputs like compost and bio-fertilizers. A key focus was establishing marketing connectivity to help farmers reach consumers directly.
Innovation: Sugarcane Roofs
Utilizing agricultural waste (sugarcane trash) for eco-friendly, low-cost roofing. Provides natural insulation and reduces burning of crop residue.
Activity 02: Waste Management (The 5Rs)
Location: Nippani | Date: Oct 25, 2025

Collaborative effort involving Public, Private, and Government organizations. The objective was to educate stakeholders on the 5Rs framework: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover, and Rethink. The activity aimed to reduce landfill waste by 30% through better segregation and policy advocacy.
Activity 02 Impact: Community Engagement
The initiative showed strong engagement results. Post-training quizzes revealed high accuracy in waste segregation, and survey data indicated a strong intent among participants to adopt the 5Rs methodology in their daily lives.
Activity 03: Information Club for Women
Location: Nippani | Date: Oct 28, 2025

This activity focused on adult education and digital literacy for women. Recognizing that 90% of participants were initially unaware of government schemes, the club conducted workshops on digital banking (UPI), legal rights, and health. It provided a safe space for women to bridge knowledge gaps and build confidence.
Empowerment Outcomes
The immediate impact of the sessions was significant. While awareness was initially low, post-activity feedback showed a massive boost in financial confidence. High commitment rates indicate the demand for sustained education platforms.
Conclusion
The NSS activities successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and community service. From promoting sustainable organic farming and waste management to empowering women through digital literacy, these initiatives have laid a foundation for holistic rural development. Continued student engagement promotes a greener, healthier, and more equitable society.
