What is Commemoration Day?
It is a special day in the UAE.
Also known as Martyrs' Day.
We say 'Thank You' to the brave soldiers who protected our country.
The Date
November 30
Every year on this day, we remember our heroes.
Who are the Martyrs?
Martyrs are the brave people who gave their lives to keep us safe.
They showed us what it means to love the UAE.
Wahat Al Karama
The 'Oasis of Dignity' in Abu Dhabi.
Minute of Silence
11:30 AM
We stand quietly for one minute to pray for them.
Raising the Flag
1. The flag is lowered at 8:00 AM.
2. At 11:31 AM, the flag is raised high again.
This shows our country is strong and proud.
