What is a Diary?
A diary is a special book where we write about what happened in our day. It is personal!
How do we start?
1. Write the Date.
2. Write 'Dear Diary,'
Time Words
Use these words to tell your story in order:
First...
Then...
Finally...
Using 'I' Sentences
Start your sentences with 'I' to tell what YOU did.
I played football.
I ate an apple.
How did you feel?
Diaries include feelings! Use sentences like:
✅ I felt happy because...
✅ I felt tired because...
My Favourite Part
"My favourite part was eating ice cream."
Try to finish your story by saying what you liked the most!
Saying Goodbye
We finish a diary entry by signing our name at the bottom.
