Exploring Nature's Wonders!
A Fun Journey into the World Around Us | Class 5
What is Nature?
Nature is everything around us that isn't made by humans! It includes the big blue sky, the deep oceans, green forests, and all the animals.\n\nFun Fact: Earth is home to over 8.7 million different types of living things!
The Three Main Parts of Nature
LAND: The ground we walk on. This includes forests, deserts, and huge mountains like the Himalayas.
WATER: Rivers, lakes, and oceans. Water covers more than half of our planet!
AIR: The sky above us. It has the oxygen we breathe and the clouds that bring rain.
Plants: The Earth's Helpers
Plants are amazing! They use sunlight to make their own food in a process called Photosynthesis. \n\nMost importantly, trees clean the air and give us the Oxygen we need to breathe.
Earth's Surface: Land vs. Water
Look at this chart! Our planet is mostly covered in water (71%). That is why the Earth looks like a big blue marble from space.
Animals and Their Homes
Animals live in special places called 'habitats'.\n\n• Lions live in savannas.\n• Fish live in coral reefs.\n• Polar bears live in snowy ice lands.\n\nFun Fact: Butterflies taste their food with their feet!
Nature Changes with Seasons
Spring brings flowers. Summer brings hot sun. Autumn brings falling leaves. Winter brings snow.
Nature is in Danger!
Our planet faces big problems like pollution and cutting down too many trees (deforestation).\n\nPlastic in the ocean hurts sea animals. We must be careful not to create too much trash.
How Can We Protect Nature?
Plant more trees and water them.
Recycle paper, plastic, and glass.
Don't litter! Put trash in the bin.
Save water while brushing your teeth.
Pop Quiz!
1. What do plants need to grow?\n\n2. Which season comes after Winter?\n\n3. How much of the Earth is water?\n\n(Answers: Sunlight/Water, Spring, 71%)
